Date: 08/05/22 16:43 Re: Old but interesting, 4449 Author: kennbritt My wife and I were in the second Amtrak car of the three. The passengers of the first Amtrak car had to be accommodated throughout the train because the heating system on it refused to shut off. Our car had doors that wanted to stay open as well. The temperatures that day were around the century mark. I don't know how this was resolved regarding the charges owed Amtrak, however I hope the charges were discounted after the trip for supplying faulty cars. The trip itself was very good. The 4449 was of course excellent.
