ATSF and SP Action in the Tehachapi Mountains

I think #5 is along the coast between Ventura and Santa Barbara.

Absolutely!

The signal poles give it away, nowhere near enough wires for CTC.
Then look at the flat road alongside the tracks.
Then notice there are no mountains on the right side of the picture.

#3 and #4 are both at  the Loop  #3 shows the train entering Tunnel 10 and #4 shows the train on the Loop.  Nice shots, Marty, thanks for posting.

Correct location is on the Coast Route, at the big curve about a mile east of Seacliff, CA...
