SP 9814 brand new in 1995 and Amtrak #6

Sparkling sd70ms SP 9814 and SP 9823 on the KCOAF are making their first trip into CA over Donner Pass. In 30 minutes they will be in Roseville yard with many employees stopping by to see the new units. Lots of radio chatter about the units handling characteristis- it wasn't too gleeful at the time.

Amtrak #6 makes an appearance at the end of the clip.

Great video! I’ve always maintained the SP paint scheme looked resplendent on the EMD Safety Cab/Wide Nose… IMO, it fit the SD70Ms better than the GE counterparts.
