(1) An REA Express and Air Express truck.

(2) Always enjoyed passing these ancient freight yards.

I don't remember where the locations are - maybe someone will know.

The first one at least is probably in Indiana somewhere. 

This page mentions 'Kofabco Industries' as being based out of Peru, Indiana:

Seeing as that Peru would be on the route of the Cardinal (in that timeframe), that would be my guess for the first pic.

Photo 2 location I believe is Maysville, KY.

Looks more like Ashland, Kentucky.  In Ashland, the tracks are mostly on the river side of the flood wall around the station and the downtown area.  In Maysville, the tracks run through in the middle of the downtown area away from the river.

Picture one is absolutley Peru.  The Kofabco building is still there, slightly modified.  Now Woodcrest manufacturing, 21 E. Riverside Drive.  This is almost directly across the river from the C&O passenger station, so it would make sense that this picture was taken during a station stop.
