Fifty Or More Years Ago - PRR 2441
Author: refarkas

(Redo) It is early Penn Central most likely 1968 or at the latest 1969. The locomotives already have their PC numbers.
Along has come a freight with PRR 2441 (ALCO C-425) leading a five unit lashup (ALCO C-425, EMD GP9, EMD F7B, EMD F7A, EMD F7A) north through Akron, Ohio. 2441's destination is Hudson, Ohio and the PC mainline. To the south in this image is the Buchtel Avenue bridge, and further back is the B&O Akron Union Station walkbridge.
Any one of these five units would be a good museum piece, but together they are priceless.

Cool shot! The consist looks like something Uncle Pete of the same era would put together... ;^)

Very nice, Bob!  Believe it or not, I think that second unit, PC 7148, is still with us as Ag Valley Coop 7517, an elevator switcher in Maywood, NE.  The accompanying image is from June 3, 2015, Jeff Van Cleve photo, my collection.

Dandy photo with a fine subject. Thanks to your 50 year younger self for the wisdom to click the shutter.
