George H. W. Bush Campaign Trains, 1992

Here are 12 of Karl Miller's photos of 3 trains at Novi, MI in September 1992:
  • First Train -- Advance George H. W. Bush Campaign Train with CSX B36-7 5866 ex-SBD and B40-8 5935 ex-NYSW.
  • Second Train -- George H. W. Bush Campaign Train with CSX C40-8W 1992 The Spirit of America renumbered to 7812 and C40-8W 7810.
  • Third Train -- Secret Service Train following the George H. W. Bush Campaign Train with CSX C40-8W 7811.
The first three photos are of the Advance Train.

The next 6 photos are of the Campaign Train with the senior Bush who was about to become President.

George was already president, having been elected in '88. He was running for re-election in '92, and lost to that upstart from Arkansas.
