Excellent photo - thanks for sharing.  The big year with the Santa Fe 2-10-4's was 1956.  I don't think this could have been any later than 1957.  No date on the slide?

Was in a group of 1958 slides, that's how i got the date. They were still running when Egen got his camera in that year as the last 25 were scrapped in '59.

A fine image - thank you. Oh, what a show that must have been! And this Pennsy fan, if he's even half worth his keystone, sure wishes he had been there.This photo gives a wonderful, tantalizing hint, and does it very well. It's always great when the past speaks so evocatively as in this image.

If this was on the line that was sold to N&W, then wouldn't this be north of Bucyrus, OH? Also, Worthington is part of Columbus.

The line was sold to N&W originating from Joyce Street and Grogan Yard north to Sandusky. That gave N&W a linkage to their new  acquisitions of the NKP and Wabash and a direct coal route to Sandusky Docks. 

Wow, love those locomotives.
