Anyone have any source of video or sound of the Ingalls Shipbuilding Model 4-S that ended up on the GM&O ?
Any photos of it testing on L&N, Southern, or SAL ?

Hard to believe it lasted as long as it did. too bad it was scrapped.

I believe Classic Trains had some rare photos in one of its past issues. IIRC, this wasn't the only loco the builder constructed.

I would be interested to know if it's true that Ingalls built more demo units than the 4-S.
My understanding is they initially catalogued three models varying in horsepower and chassis specs
but only manufactured that one 4-S unit which GM&O eventually purchased.

I seem to recall another unit was built or marketed, but it was NOT like the one we are familiar with.

I came across a photo of the 1500 on page 52 of the May 1973 issue of TRAINS. The caption states it was on demo in Atlanta in 1946 and it is simply lettered INGALLS.
It would be neat to see other such photos of it (or if there were indeed other demos) in INGALLS lettering.

What I saw and read was in Classic Trains, IIRC.
