1. UP U30C 2820 built May 1972 and wrecked April 1980 at Hayward, CA on the WP and scrapped, with UP SD40-8 3242 built June 1973 and retired January 2008 and a TOFC train, photoed in Galesburg, IL January 5, 1976 by Larry Anglund.

2. UP U30C 2821 built May 1972 and retired June 1984 and sold for scrap, with UP U30C 2824 and a sister and a mixed freight train, photoed in Galesburg, IL September 4, 1976 by Larry Anglund.

3. UP U30C 2827 built May 1972 and retired June 1984 and traded to EMD in May 1986, with 2 sisters and a TOFC train, photoed in Galesburg, IL September 24, 1977 by Larry Anglund.

4. UP U30C 2829 built June 1972 and retired March 1988 and traded to GE in July 1988, photoed in Galesburg, IL June 20, 1976 by Larry Anglund.

5. UP U30C 2830 built April 1972, retired July 1985 and traded to EMD May 1986, photoed in Galesburg, IL October 20, 1977 by Larry Anglund.

Kinda telling that the GE U30C's barely made it to the end of their lease and were usually scrapped.

I guess these units couldn't handle it, reportedly.

Why all the UP trains at Galesburg?  Run through?
