GN fan favorite foursome: FT's & F7's

I remember the Great Northern when I was at Ft. Lewis back in the late 60's.  Love those horns.

FT 410-A was on GN's roster until February 1965, when it was traded to EMD for GN GP35 3037. So it had many years to be paired with an F7. This image had to be taken sometime after 1962, when GN's simplified paint scheme on that F7 was introduced.  That narrows the time frame to that three year period.

OK, here's why.  Generelly, FT's were equipped with 24RL brakes, F7's with 26C.  Also, FT's were built with 17 pin MU cables, F7's with 27 pin cables.  It would seem these FT's were re-equipped.
