Still untouched by the "patchers" but it was pretty early in the Conrail era.

I have some blurry old pix of those GP-30's when they were brand spanking new. The cheap plastic Kodak and slide film just didn't work too well when the trains were rolling along at track speed. The Reading cabooses were still red, they were blurry too. It wasn't until 20 years later that I was given a very basic, full manual, 35mm camera, after the typical "Instamatic Era". Then the pix were sharp and my photography vastly improved.
