I just noticed the "Tell Tails" hanging over the tracks in the background.  I wondered if they still existed  until the roof walks and tall ladders  were removed  ?

I believe they were still in place when I last passed under them in 1979. They were placed to warn employees
of the Riverside Dr bridge, behind Bob's back. In a few years the landscape would drastically change with the
coming of the I-5 bridges of the Golden State Freeway, about where we see the first three cars in the photo.
