ATSF 3751 East
Author: rattenne

Santa Fe 4-8-4 No. 3751 simmers in the chill winter air on the evening of December 28, 1991 in Bakersfield Calif. The train off to the right is an Amtrak San Joaquin. This Day 2 of a four day trip between LA and Bakersfield which yielded (for me) miles and miles of great photos. Steam over Cajon Pass AND Tehachapi - what could be better? Having a pair of Red Warbonnet FP45s tucked in behind the 3751.

Some of the steam purists here on Train Orders would not agree with your last sentence.

Awesome photo.  Still can't believe we missed this, we had been at my Grandpa's in Bakersfield that week and had no clue this was happening.
