Santa Fe units at Midlothian,Tx
Author: gcm

Oct 1976
Looking north towards Dallas on the Cleburne-Dallas line.
In the distance is the abandoned Tower 94 at the crossing of the SP Ft.Worth-Corsicana route.
2789A was a GP7B unit.
2929 was a GP9

Reminds me of a story I heard.  There was a trainmaster or road foremon (can't remember which) that gave engineers hell on that run demanding they keep their speed at 19-20 mph and giving them a bad time if they did not.  20 MPH was the speed limit on the branch.

Nice shots. How many GP7B's were there in this world?

The 2929 was the first locomotive I ever rode in. It was the 729 back then on the point of the Williams to Grand Canyon connecting train. 1966 iirc.
