1948 Freedom Train at Fargo ND on NP

This photo comes up searching in the NDSHS collection: American Freedom Train at the NP depot in Fargo, North Dakota. April 29, 1948 is the date. I don't know the details behind this train.

The 1947-1949 American Freedom Train promoted Americanism.
It carried the original Bill of Rights and US Constitution.

Thanks for sharing the image ... certainly different times and circumstances some 76 years ago ...
Apparently little government/private interest in support for a 2026 Freedom Train (steam or otherwise)
to celebrate the US's 250th anniversary in 2026 ...

If he was inclined he could indeed contribute the whole amount needed. He would appreciate it's importance as well. There's others who might have the cash but they have a bad attitude to go with it.
