Poor quality, but you can see all the shorter old tank cars commonly seen in freight trtains back then.
I think some on this SP train were acually wine cars with the numerous domes.

The switcher looks to be a Modesto & Empire Traction 70 tonner. 
The locations and subjects seem to bounce around, but one appears to be the Sacramento Daylight consist at Lathrop, Ca.
