You're a brave man, sir. I had a friend with a 6 volt bus and when you romped on the gas - NOTHING. Date: 02/05/25 19:04 Re: SP SB station 1973 Author: choochoochas Yes unfortunately. Was really happy with our newer 1972 VW bus as it was a 12 volt version.

What do you want from 36 HP, performance? Date: 02/05/25 23:11 Re: SP SB station 1973 Author: BoilingMan It’s a wonderful building, and holds an interesting curiosity- about half of the 2nd story is fake.
If you go into the main waiting room you’ll see it has a high vaulted ceiling. Now walk outside, step back, and look closer. That vaulted ceiling doesn’t match the outside of the building. The waiting room ceiling is inside the 2nd floor! If you were to go upstairs you’d find a room filled with a pyramid- the vaulted ceiling of the waiting room below. It’s an architectural head scratcher! SR I noticed this anomaly back around 1970. I asked the SP ticket clerk about it and he took me upstairs to see the pyramid. It was a different time. There is no way in hell you can get up there today. I’ve tried many times, and I’m an Amtrak veteran with 32yrs service. No dice, as they say… Date: 02/06/25 06:08 Re: SP SB station 1973 Author: Topfuel Does anyone ever take a shot of the north side of the SB station? Don't think I've ever seen that side before.

I don't think I've ever seen a photo of the North side! I'm pretty sure I've never thought to take one. I 'll be down there in about 2wks- I'll make a point to take a few.
