The only information on the slide is "ATSF 118, Ark City KS"

Santa Fe FTA built in July 1944 as 120C, renumbered 417 in July 1950, and 118L in October 1956 (the L was not displayed in the numberboards).  It was retired in May 1963 and traded-in to EMD as credit against GP30 1269.

Arkansas City, KS was an 'away-from-home' terminal for the first 9 years of my RR career. If Ark City is correct, this view is looking west at the RH facility. The mainline ran due N-S (compass) thru Ark City. But as any SFe fan will tell you there was ONLY an E-W timetable designation on the entire system. So this F-unit is pointed west. No wait, south. No wait.... WEST! (It's so confusing... ;^)
