Nostalgia & History > An Odd CoupleDate: 04/13/25 18:56 An Odd Couple Author: MartyBernard I found SP 2732 and 1013 in Eugene, OR, Nov. 11, 1996.
Slug 1013 was built Jan. 1947 as Monon NW2 15 and spent time as L&N 2205. 2732 was built as SP MP15AC in Oct. 1975. ![]() Date: 04/13/25 21:59 Re: An Odd Couple Author: roustabout I worked in Eugene from 1977 to 1999 and was quite used to seeing that lash up on a daily basis. I worked at a warehouse just RR west of the yard so there were times that the hump job would pull down the WP past our warehouse. Plus, my lunch breaks often included a swing by the yard. What was odd were the C-628s the 'odd couple' replaced or even a couple SD-39s they used once, as I remember. Thanks for the memory!
