does anybody have any pictures of the UMP coal cars ???????

I do, back when the entire fleet was hanging out on the Lake Erie, Franklin & Clarion in the late 70's in coal service.   Prints only, I'd have to scan.   Thought it was odd when LEF&C had their own fleet.

Here's a pair from 1981 in Southern California...looks like these cars were built in 1979.

1.  UMP 6096    22 March 1981    San Bernardino, CA

I remember seeing lots of these stashed in the UMP yard at the steel mill in Conshohocken, PA. At the time just hopper cars, who would ever want a photo of one!
I grabbed a photo of a couple diesels for sale when they demolished the original blast furnace. Very poor Instamatic through the chain link fence and printed on that grainy paper they used to hide the poor images produced with the rinky-dink plastic lenses!
