EL NW2 working in Akron

Dec 1975
413 (built in 1948) is doing some work in the McCoy Street yard in Akron.
Two Erie Lackawanna main line tracks to the right with the B&O further right.
The B.F. Goodrich plant is in the background.

EL 413 survived into Conrail and became the Blue Mountain & Reading Railroads very first locomotive in 1983. On the BM&R it was numbered 413 and later R&N 1000. Unfortunately, instead of being preserve it ended up being scrapped at Pittston. History lost.
