a surprise Centennial!
Author: santafe199

I was doing some more routine filing -endless chore- and I ran across this scan from my late friend Jim Watson. It just sorta jumped up and said “post me”. So with a nod to the Western Pacific here it is. (And I don’t s’pose my pal x6924w will put up much of a fuss... ;^)

1. UP 6908 w/ a GE sibling + 3 WP guests at Echo Canyon, UT on June 5, 1980.
Original Kodachrome slide by James W. Watson.

Thanks for looking back!

No complaints here! Nothing like finding this while listening to the Top 40 of 7-6-74 on the 70s channel.
Thanks to Lance and Jim!!

I’ll bet Steely Dan’s ‘Rikki Don’t Lose That Number’ is high on that list! (DJ Sir L)

That is an awesome photo! Imagine how many of us would drop everything to chase that today.

Nathan, you nailed it! 40+ years later what was once everyday stuff is now priceless. In this great hobby that tends to happen. (a LOT)… 😎
