Good stuff, lots to see. A reminder that these are in times of two distinctly different RR's on their own routes.

Making an obvious swag that #1 is just outside of Yale but before the original Alexandria bridge, but that covers a lot of ground. The trail next to the tracks is likely the original road, the formation across the river is a clue but Google maps doesn't quite line it up. I spent a few days in Yale having a gas tank repaired and know that the TC1 has a lot of little branches and access roads that may have lined up the photo. Interesting area but over looked by the bigger scenery further up river.

There's a current post on the Candian board that shows your #3  as ' Ainslie Creek at mile 120 CN Ashcroft Sub : I know that spot as Photobob and I set up there for about four hours waiting for a train, long before the directional running agreement. Light went bad and we hiked out, by the time we drove back to Boston Bar a WB came in. Have to admit I don't recognize the parking area on the other side of the river so there's some uncertainty to that.

The east side of Kamloops is radically different than the other directions, it reminds me of the miracle mile concept with many hotels and stores on a pretty much flat area. Checking Google it's a very differnt place now.

There are lots of landmarks for somebody that knows the area, haven't been in the Canyon for many years. Hoping to get back once things settle down.

t4p.

Not sure of #2 but the first three look like the Fraser River Canyon. The Thompson is much a more dry area with less trees. A good thing on rainy days but much hotter in the summer.
