SP Lark in 1966

FP7 6446 on westbound Train 75,  the Lark makes its stop at Glendale, CA  in July 1966.  A few people gather around the loco.  Around 1949-50 my Dad and I did that countless times.  First diesel I ever saw was the Golden State painted E7s on the Lark.  Then GS4 4-8-4s for a few years.

Wonderful picture. I would have loved riding Pullman on the Lark.

Those warm LA summer nights watching trains and listening to Vince Scully and Jerry Dogget on KFI 640, Long gone and far away. Your photo brings it all back. Miss it.
