Interesting time when SP did not assign cabooses to work trains and locals. This policy didn't last long, but here's a work train backing up with conductor riding the deck of the flatcar. SP 4379 and SP 4358 are sd9s assigned to the train. SP 4358 sports the unusual stack lettering instead of linear line, the norm for long hood sd9s. Interesting cars passing over the grade xing and friendly train crew. Who doesn't love Espee work trains?
