I believe this tunnel was later "daylighted" and the train is just at the end of the caboose era, Five 3000 hp units on the point was SOP then.

Here's the daylighted tunnel in 2010. Not sure how the huge amount of work lines up with the video, there's another tunnel roughly a mile further upstream. The amount of work is stunning, there's a road bridge right in the middle for State Park access and for rail photographers of course.
