Nostalgia & History > Cotton Belt geep in the nightDate: 09/30/25 06:20 Cotton Belt geep in the night Author: santafe199 In August of 1980 I went on a week-long railfan vacation swing down through central Oklahoma, northeastern Texas, northwestern Arkansas and back up through eastern Oklahoma and eastern Kansas. It was a very productive excursion, start to finish! Here’s an overnight look at Cotton Belt territory:
1. SSW 3872 takes a snooze on the night of August 19, 1980. I found a motel room and did some snoozing myself… 2. The next day -August 20, 1980- the 3872 is ready for another day’s work Two photos taken in Corsicana, TX. Thanks for looking back! were applied as a result of big hole, or until around 1970 as rear marker as a helper unit or lite power move. FRA ruled marker use out around 1970. Regards, Jim Evans Date: 09/30/25 08:17 Re: Cotton Belt geep in the night Author: gcm Excellent night shot !
