Schedule Board - Laramie
Author: gcm

Nov 1976
The station was still open for passengers and the San Francisco Zephyr.
The old UP train bulletin board was used.
Looking closer "ghost trains" from the UP passenger days could be seen.
City of Portland, Kansas City, Los Angeles, San Francisco etc.

Thanks for the photos.  I have memories of seeing 26 car City of Everywhere trains there in the last years of Union Pacific train service.  The pedestrian bridge was a great place to see and photograph trains.

When I was in the 'old station' at Trinidad, CO about 1990 the same thing was true - the departure board in the inside of the station had insertion letters for all the Santa Fe name trains against a black felt background, and surrounding material had faded.  The letters were gone, but you could still read all the trains - Super Chief, Chief, Grand Canyon, Fast Mail....
