Question about coal on the TP&W
Author: sync

Found a slide for sale on ebay. TP&W in 1983. Atleast the first out two cars are loaded L&N coal cars. Where would those have been going?

Caption to a 1983 photo of a westbound TP&W coal train on page 14 of The Peoria Way: "Late in its fourteen year career on the TP&W, the Peoria Road's only GP40 leads a train of Kentucky coal through Washington, IL.  The coal train is destined for the Central Illinois Light Co., a few miles south of Peoria."
