Nostalgia & History > Southwest Limited in BWDate: 12/02/25 08:13 Southwest Limited in BW Author: santafe199 More fun from the brutal winter of 1978-79. Not so much fun for Amtrak, though! For a few weeks my late KS Gang bro Dave Franz & I made the most of it shooting many terribly late Amtrak trains, both westbound trains #3 & #15 (SW Ltd & Lone Star) and sometimes the eastbound #4 (SW Ltd). I used that a lot shooting the music scene in the early to mid 80s. As I was getting out of shooting 35mm stuff for railfanning. Just too small. I intended to go to a larger format for B/W railfanning, but reaganomics was kicking the shit out of us honest working types and I just couldn't afford to invest in a camera + the needed variety of lenses... :^( Lance Date: 12/02/25 12:17 Re: Southwest Limited in BW Author: gcm Nice one Lance !
