Nostalgia & History > Shiny green Baldwins at nightDate: 12/06/25 12:12 Shiny green Baldwins at night Author: rbenko Two SMS Rail Lines DS44-1000s idle away in the Pureland Industrial Park located in Swedesboro, NJ. Taken on May 13, 1995 as part of a (Railpace? Railfan?) sponsored "Baldwin Fan Day" (note the initials) on SMS Rail Lines. Probably over 100 different railfans, living and dead, got the same shot.
According to my exhaustive 5-minute online research, #1293 was renumbered to #101 and is currently stored. #1494 was renumbered to #302, then #9069 (its original PRR number), is now painted in its original PRR color scheme, and is still working the same industrial park. Thanks for viewing. Rob Benkovitz West Palm Beach Florida Date: 12/06/25 12:38 Re: Shiny green Baldwins at night Author: santafe199 …in the cool of the night! 😎

Great photo I seem to recall in Railpace or another publication back when! Thanks for the look back. Gonut |
