This was a trackage rights train that was originally granted to WP to compensate for the abandonment of the Sacramento Northern (owned by WP) trackage connecting to trackage in the Pittsburg/Antioch area. The tower gave great shade on hot days and sometimes the tower operator would invite us up to see the controls. Lots of good times were had there. |
