A westbound manifest departing Klamath Falls (OR) runs through the siding at Texum.  The track diverging to the right is the Modoc Line.  SP 7503 was later rebuilt to CEFX SD40M-2 3134, is believed extant as MMID 3449.  Slide mount says MAY 85.

Yes. Interlockings controlled by an operator where labeled with SA plates.
