Nostalgia & History > White House Christmas tree by rail back in the day questionsDate: 12/07/25 14:16 White House Christmas tree by rail back in the day questions Author: pilotblue Hey Gang,
I posted this on the Eastern Board, got a few responses, maybe this is a better place to post the questions. When the White House Christmas tree came to DC by rail, where was it unloaded? My thoughts were Benning yard, perhaps Ivy City, or the Government Printing Office spur or the line to the Evening Star Newspaper dock. There was also a line down to Buzzards Point that might be a candidate. Any thoughts/info/photos appreciated! Thanks much, Merry Christmas! Edited 1 time(s).
