Soo Line 1003 in NW Illinois - 2022

In August of 2022, Soo Line 1003, a 2-8-2 Mikado class steam locomotive passed through NW Chicago suburbs for a local appearance.  It was a beautiful day for steam.

FWIW, the sound was recorded on a land-based recorder while the video was taken by a drone. Fairly closely synced in the editing process.  Thanks for commenting.
