Nostalgia & History > EL freight in AkronDate: 02/23/26 04:57 EL freight in Akron Author: gcm Dec 1975
An Erie Lackawanna train eastbound with an all GE lineup just past JO Tower. The B&O-Penn Central tracks on the left. The remnants to the left was the site of Union Station torn down in 1950. Here are some other images and info on that site I posted a while back ---- https://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?11,4193843,4194013#msg-4194013 Gary Date: 02/23/26 07:01 Re: EL freight in Akron Author: callen77 stark scene, but a good view of how it was. I hadn't seen the other images before, very interesting thread. Thanks.
