Three from Cresson, PA
Author: jkh2cpu

Back in the day when I was still masqurading as a spring chicken, I meet up with some internet friends (APBR) in Pennsylvania for railfanning in the snow and ice.  I nabbed these three on February 7th, 2012 at Cresson Pennsylvania.  Cresson is a spot where helpers may be added or removed.

1.  2:11 PM NS 9374.  He's just getting moving, but it's all down hill for a while.

2.  2:57 PM NS 9891.  This guy was really lugging his containers.

3.  3:16 PM NS 9402.  This one is also headed railroad west down grade.

That last shot of the NS 9402 leading. That makes 2 of that number that I have seen between yesterday and your shot here. I managed shots of BNSF SD70MAC 9402 on the Colorado Joint Line yesterday afternoon.  Kinda different to see 2 units on 2 different RR's with the same number.  Your 9402 is 7 years younger than the one I shot. But seeing how BNSF is scrapping their original AC units makes ya wonder how much longer does this one have?  BNSF 9402  11/1993; NS 9402 1/2000.  Bet NS sends this one to WABTEC for the AC44C6M Program. Thanks for sharing. Ben

NS 9402 was rebuilt to 4631 in March, 2023.
