SP Train 2 Sets of Manned Helpers
Author: Fiftyfooter

Looking like something out of a SP Corporate Film, Cotton Belt Tunnel Motor 8326 is leading a long, heavy string of SP and SSW home road boxcars at Walong, CA on the Tehachapi Loop. This monster train had 2 sets of manned helpers!

I"ve stood in that same spot taking still photos, but the movie is so much better.

Now that's how to run a train and this look gives modelers another idea to think about.

Thanks for posting.

I so miss the SP and the sounds that EMDs make when pulling a grade.  Thanks for the video.  I have spent many an hour under that tree.....

That is a true boxcar train. I'm thinking this must be the late 70's.
