Nostalgia & History > video clip of SP from early 1970sDate: 04/01/26 02:13 video clip of SP from early 1970s Author: choochoochas Southern Pacific SD9 leading an Eastbound train climbing the grade between Woodford and Walong in my program THIS WAS TEHACHAPI at WINTERAIL this past weekend. It was my Son David's idea to use an old projection screen to show the clip as that would have been how it was seen when I got the film back from being processed by Kodak. Have a few more short Super 8mm clips taken in the early 1970s if any of you would like to see some of them. They sure bring back very fond memories of railfanning in the Tehachapis when you could go anywhere to get some great shots of the EMD and GE power and also ALCOs. Especially the Alligators that Santa Fe used until later in 1974 when they stopped using them there.
