Mike Ondecker used his Instamatic to capture this Erie Lackawanna freight leaving Marion, Ohio in 1967.

Very nice at Marion.
I just saw the non-semaphore type signals here and wondered how far back the semaphores lasted.
Also a nice shot of the crossing guard and his shack - the guard and shack lasted right up to Conrail.

Mike got some decent shots using an instamatic. Perhaps I should havee tried B&W, most of my color shots were very poor. Too bad i didn't get a 35 mm much earlier.
I have posted some stuff on here but the quality has always been so sub-par :(

Thankfully, today's photo editing software can make an acceptible Instamatic image from what was far from good.

I've had problems with poor quality color prints from Instamatic negatives. I ended up biting the bullet, and in photoshop, switched to monochrome to save the image.

There's so much to like in the picture. The vehicle to the left, the guard shack, the rail layout, the background, etc.
