Toss Back Tuesday: Ford Motor Co in downtown Marysville

Marysville, KS in more classic times. This is train CK (Council Bluffs ~ Kansas City) changing crews and passing through. The Mop merger will come along in 1982, and the UP main line between Marysville and Lincoln will eventually be torn out…

1. UP 2406 arriving in with train “CK” in Marysville, KS.

2. The CK now departing with a fresh crew, rolling through downtown Marysville.

As I recall, Ford’s car lot was right across the tracks. You can see vehicle noses at the far left…

no ford dealer ithere anymore, all th e big buidlings are gone trackside on google that i could see.

Not too much better for me than to see foreign road power on the UP pre1982 merger. Trains going to North Platte, Nebraska wiith roads like the Rock, Frisco, SP, Cooton Belt, N&W.... you name it, was SO cool.
