1. A s/b ICG train was led by GP10s #8084, rebuilt 8//69 from IC GP9 #9084, built in 1955, to IAIS #484 11//88, + #8036, rebuilt 11//69 from IC GP9 #9036, built in 1954, to IAIS #436 10/84, + 1 unit. Rondout, Illinois, 3/26/75 2. A w/b MILW auto racks train was led by SD40-2s #156, built 8//72 as #3026, later TFM/KCSM #1420, to MEC/PAR #609, + #134, built 7//72 as #3004, later NdeM #13042, FNM #13042, TFM #1439, + #136, built 7//72 as #3006, later NdeM #13047, FXE #3175, TFM #1416. Proviso Yard, Melrose Park, Illinois, 3/26/75 3. C&NW SD38-2 #6650, built 1//75, to UP #2806 6/24/95, to UPY #806 9/14/01, worked the hump here until moved to the North Platte hump when renumbered to UPY and repainted. 4. C&NW MP15DC #1304 was built 2//75, to UPY #1317 7/1/01. McCook, Illinois, 3/26/75 5. EMDX SW1500 + UP SD40-2 #3291 and 6. SSW SD45T-2 #9376 + AT&SF GP39-2 #3651 were in EMD’s backyard. BRC C424s #600, built 4//65, + #601, built 4//65, to HBRR #601, to A&M #01, renumbered #32, led a w/b train. 9. An e/b train was led by L&N GP38-2 #4136, built 8//73, to CSXT #2643, + L&N GP38AC #4028, built 5//71, to CSXT #2158, HHLC #205, VTR #205. A n/b ICG coal train was led by GP40 #3067, built 8//69, to IC GP40R #3125, rebuilt to LLPX GP38-2 #2266, + GP38AC #9506, built 2//70, later returned to lessor HELM in 1985, to MKT #331, to UP #1988, renumbered #289, + 2 units. Engines are on the BRC end. Looks like photo was taken from the south side of the N&W (Wabash) right of way. Two Landers yard tracks, the N&W main track, two BRC mains, and the B&O "wye". In that era the train is probably the BRC delivery to B&O Barr Yd. They returned lite to Clearing. Photo 9 of the L&N power was taken on the BRC at Columbus Ave., aka Southwest Highway, aka "the Highway". Train is compass eastbound at the east end of Rockwell yard. Thanks for posting.
