Nostalgia & History > Burlington Northern coal train in 1996.

In April 1996 a southbound Burlington Northern loaded coal train with 115 cars on the BNSF Thayer North sub.  First video clip shows the head end with five C30-7 locomotives from the BN, ATSF and UP as they are climbing sterling hill near Willow Springs, Missouri.  Second video clip shows the rear of the train with manned helpers KCS SD60 and a BN SD60M.  Third video alip shows the train at Pomona, Missouri just after dropping the helpers.
