Tunnel Motor Tuesday - SP's Shasta Route

On 6/7/89, a pair of SP tunnel motors plus a flare lead a train timetable westbound at Mott, California on the Shasta Route.  The train is about to begin the steepest part of the descent down to Dunsmuir on a 2.5% grade.

Good stuff, snoot, lights and the whole show.

Extra points for finding an open spot. The area now has tall trees with junk trees and shrubs near the tracks.
