Nostalgia & History > Warbonnet Wednesday.Date: 07/08/26 12:19 Warbonnet Wednesday. Author: hank In. October 2001 we see a BNSF westbound intermodal rounding Yellow Bank curve MP 251.5 on the BNSF Marceline sub and about three miles west of Argyle, Iowa. In this time frame it was getting hard to find Warbonnet painted locomotives in the lead with all the GE Dash 9 locomotives coming on the BNSF property. The power here is a BNSF H2 Dash9-44CW, a BNSF Warbonnet SD75M, a ATSF Warbonnet C40-8W and a BN painted GP39E. Four different models of locomotives in three different paint schemes.
