Heavy overcast. Comm-code line distraction. Sharp, nose-on angle. Shooting from the wrong side. Some photography no-nos, if you will… But that all goes by the wayside when the paint scheme is realized! Dang, if that ain’t a Red & Silver Warbonnet on that a very fast mail train. Cool enough for me… :^)

1. AT&SF 312 L leads train #7, the “Fast Mail” crossing the Rock Island at Peabody, KS in August of 1962.

Clouds help. That pic would be far more difficult on a sunny day. 

Great scan. 

Nice shot.  The dark side is OK as long as it's cloudy and mostly without shadow.

And just behind the signal boxes lies Wedel Acres, our property. Google it. I sure enjoy the pics you post of this location !
