1. C&NW Jordan Spreader #11983 looked recently painted. 2. MILW H16-66 #524, built 9//53 as #2128, was probably retired. 3. MILW H12-44 #702, built 1//55 as #2317, + H12-44 #768, built 3//46 as H10-44 #1810, upgraded to H12-44, were at the shop. 4 & 5. An e/b MILW train from the “Beer Line” was led by MP15AC #477, built 12//75, + F9B #113B + MP15AC #474, built 12//75. 6. MILW H12-44 #765, built 7//46 as H10-44 #1807, upgraded to H12-44, + transfer caboose were tied down in the pocket east of Cut Off. 7. C&NW SD40-2 #6824, built 2//74, to UP #2972 10/16/98; GP35 #824, built 2//64, retired 11/26/91; SD45 #965, built 2//69, retired 10/10/89; and SD40-2 #6832, built 2//74, to UP #2980 3/25/97, retired 1/24/08, were at the sand tower. 8. C&NW H12-44s #1112, built 12//52, retired 8/20/76, + #1116, built 8//53, retired 3/8/76 + 2 more were next to the shop. 9. C&NW VO1000M #1024, built 8//44 as VO1000, repowered by EMD 8//58, retired 2/17/81 was also at the shop. 10 – 12. MILW H12-44 #760, built 8//44 as H10-44 #1802, the first Fairbanks-Morse locomotive, upgraded to H12-44, now at the Illinois Railway Museum, was tied down in an industrial area south of downtown. 16. MILW “Route of the Hiawathas” boxcar #23935 17. MILW U30Cs #56?? + #5655, both built 8//74, came out of the shop area and went to the yard. 18. MILW F7A #85A:2, built 2//49 as F5A #82D, rebuilt to F7A, + F9A #94A, built 1//54 as #128A, came out of the yard and went to the shop.
