Thirty or more years ago on CAJON pass.....
Author: LesWhite

I dug these out of the collection that show some typical trains of the 1972-1974 era.....they are copied from original 126 prints hence the poor reproduction but for nostalgia they are priceless of course ...

this scene is 3373 on a Pig train.......this unit survives in 2004 as BNSF 2573

Les, great pics!! I have a bunch of 126 prints and some 126 slides of the DRGW back around the same time frame (73 to 75). You've given me the courage to post them!!!

Windows are closed. The air conditioners must be working.

You might want to run those pictures through Photoshop. I took the liberty (I hope you don't mind) of just doing an Auto Color Balance on one photo simply to see what would happen, and as you can see it made a big difference. I spent about 5 seconds doing it, you could probably improve it futher with further tweaking. Have a good weekend!

dont mind your tweak job.........how i did these was to simply place them outside in the sun and take them with my digital camera then load them to the computer.......

BNSF 2600 was at Picrivera Yard {LA} on July 11, 2004. Probably still there kicking cars in yard service. Great pictures!

BNSF 2573 was at Victorville, CA. on July 23, 2004, probably bumping cars around as most GP-35's are relegated to do on the BNSF in later years.
