Huntington" were on display on the lawn in front of the Sacramento depot. I took this shot in June 1960 while on a PCC-R&LHS fantrip. - Tony

Date: 12/27/04 19:07 Re: 4-8-8-2 SP4294 outside Sacramento Depot - 1960 Author: n6nvr The CP Huntington was in a covered structure made of wood timbers (IIRC) and the 4294 sat there for several years. The cab was unlocked at some times and litle kids (yes I was a little kid once) were able to climb all over the engine, including along the little footrail along the cab sides. IIRC the unlocked cab annoyed my Dad because it meant easier access for pilferers who might take enough stuff to make it too expensive to restore the engine.
