Coincidentally, the big quake that extensively damaged the South San Francisco station building seen in the background of your photo. The station has since been torn down. Anybody know when all the remote control radio equipment was pulled out or simply no longer used? This unit does have the antennas, heard the equipment was just left in place. Last ones I heard of were on the Modoc, seemed it would have been early 80's, ...or maybe just after 1962. |
